You run the business. We watch the market.
Red Rock continuously monitors the Qatar market for the signals that matter to your business: competitors, consumers, companies, pricing, expansion, regulation and emerging opportunities.
Twenty sectors under continuous coverage, built from official records, Arabic-language sources and our own field work in Qatar.
Book a 30-minute Qatar market briefingGlobal research firms have a Qatar page. We have Qatar.
A global platform reads Qatar the way it reads two hundred other markets: from a distance, in English, from whatever is easy to license. That is enough for a map and not enough for a decision.
We study hundreds of thousands of data points across twenty sectors, in Arabic and in English, and we go and look when the record does not answer the question.
Who this is for
Two ways to need the same evidence
Qatari and GCC companies
Seeing your own market clearly: who is actually taking share, where pricing is moving, which categories are growing, and what is coming through the tender pipeline.
Companies entering Qatar
Sizing the opportunity before you commit: what the category is worth, who already holds it, what the regulation actually requires, and whether a prospective partner stands up to their own filings.
Methodology
The Qatar Evidence Ladder
Every figure we publish says where it came from. That is the whole method, and it is why a number from us can be checked rather than trusted.
- 01
Official
Taken straight from a government record, a regulator filing or a published statistic. Reproducible by anyone who looks it up.
- 02
Corroborated
An official figure checked against a second, independent source before we use it. Where the two disagree, we say so rather than pick one.
- 03
Field-collected
Gathered by us in Qatar: executive interviews, retail audits and mystery shopping, phone and online panels. Not available from a desk.
- 04
Modelled
Estimated from the rungs beneath it when no one publishes the number. Always labelled as an estimate, never presented as a record.
Collect
Official registries and statistics, Arabic-language press and trade media, tender portals and customs records, pulled continuously rather than at the start of a project.
Verify
Every figure is placed on the ladder before it travels any further, and anything that cannot be traced to a source does not travel at all.
Analyse
Read against the Qatari context that shapes it: diversification, the tourism build-out since 2022, rising foreign investment, and the in-country value agenda.
Deliver
In Arabic or English, with a source line under every chart and the ladder rung shown beside every number.

What changes
Decisions you can defend
Not a number on a slide. A thing you can now do, and a reason you can put in writing.
Size a category before you commit capital
Know what the category is actually worth in Qatar, and who already holds it, before the capex goes in.
Drop a distributor on evidence, not instinct
See real shelf share from a retail audit rather than the share your distributor reports to you.
Price against verified moves, not rumour
Move when a competitor actually moves, checked against the record, not when the market says they did.
Walk away from a partner the filings do not support
Check a prospective partner or sponsor against the commercial registry before you sign, not after.
How it is bought
Three ways in
Scope decides the shape of the work, so every one of these starts with a conversation rather than a price.

Book a 30-minute Qatar market briefingCommon questions
Do you cover markets outside Qatar?
No. Qatar is the whole desk, not a line item on a global map. Every source we read and every visit we make is Qatari.
Where do your figures come from?
Official registries and statistics, Arabic-language press and trade media, and our own field collection in Qatar. Every figure we publish carries the source class it came from.
How do you tell an official number from an estimate?
We label it. Anything we modelled is marked as an estimate and never presented as a record, and anything we could not trace to a source is not published.
Can you work in Arabic?
Yes. Arabic-language sources are a large part of what we read, and reports are delivered in Arabic or English.
How long does a bespoke study take?
Most run three to six weeks, depending on how much field collection the question needs.
What does it cost?
It depends entirely on the question and how much field work it needs, so we start with a short briefing call rather than a price list.
